The MC10EP116/100EP116 is a high-performance 6-bit differential line receiver designed for applications requiring very high speed oscillators. With a 3.0GHz bandwidth and two stages of internal gain, this device is an excellent choice for high bandwidth amplifier applications. The presence of the V_BB pin, which provides an internally generated voltage supply, sets this device apart from others in the series. When used for single-ended input conditions, the unused differential input is connected to V_BB as a switching reference voltage, and V_BB can also rebias AC coupled inputs. It is important to decouple V_BB and V_CC via a 0.01uF capacitor and limit current sourcing or sinking to 0.5 mA when in use. If V_BB is not used, it should be left open to ensure proper device operation. Additionally, the differential inputs feature internal clamp structures to prevent the Q output of a gate in an open input condition from affecting the rest of the device. The 100 Series also offers temperature compensation for improved performance across varying operating conditions
