The extended diagnostic features, including Open Load, Over Load, and Overtemperature detection, ensure the safety and reliability of the IC, the application, and the load. The < 60 us propagation delay time at startup enables the IC to achieve Class 3 for interface types C and D, making it well-suited for applications requiring higher SIL levels. The built-in overload and thermal shutdown protections provide essential safeguards against electrical and thermal overstress, while the low-dissipative short-circuit protection helps prevent power dissipation in case of a short circuit. Users can easily adjust the cut-off delay time using an external capacitor or disable it with a resistor on pin 4 (CoD) to manage output current values effectively.
