The DRV8932 provides an impressive array of features, making it an ideal solution for driving industrial loads. This versatile device can be utilized to control up to four solenoid loads, two DC motors, one stepper motor, or other compatible loads.

The output stage for each channel consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured in a half-bridge configuration, allowing for seamless integration with controllers. The DRV8932 operates off a single power supply and boasts an impressive input supply range from 4.5 V to 33 V.

This means that the device can deliver up to 1.5-A peak or 1.05-A RMS output current per channel, depending on PCB design considerations. Furthermore, the DRV8932 features a low-power sleep mode that enables a quiescent current draw of mere milliamps, achieved by shutting down much of the internal circuitry.

A comprehensive range of internal protection functions is also provided, including undervoltage-lockout, overcurrent protection on each FET, short-circuit protection, and overtemperature detection. Fault conditions are indicated by the nFAULT pin, providing users with valuable insight into device operation
